This document is a step by step tutorial that explains how to set up SEB and run secure online-exams in a learning management system.
Step 1: Download SEB and required extension

Step 1: Download SEB and required extension
Go to the and download SEB (newest release) and the required extension (e. g. Skin "Naviless" for ILIAS).
Unzip the files
Step 2: Install SEB
SEB does not need to be installed in the application folder. To start the browser open first the folder SEB and then double click Seb.exe. A shortcut on the desktop can be created with a right click on the Seb.exe-File.
CAUTION: Before you start SEB make sure you remember the shortcut to exit the browser! Default: F3 + F11 + F6 (press keys in that order and hold them pressed)
Step 3: Install required extension

Step 4: Connect between browser and test
When you start SEB the sourceforge site gets launched (default). To change the start URL of SEB you can open the folder SEB>SebFirefox and then double click on start-firefox.bat. Please note: The browser Firefox need to be closed first.
Fill in the URL to the LMS installation or a direct Link to the test, click OK and then close the window.
Step 5: Start and close the test
Double click Seb.exe to start the test.
Close the browser: F3 + F11 + F6 (press keys in that order and hold them pressed)
